Electric Trains
The electric trains made an entry on the transportation scene after the Second World War and soon in a phased manner replaced the steam train. The first electric passenger train was designed in the year 1879 by Werner Von Siemens - a German engineer.

Diesel Trains
Diesel trains were found to be much superior compared to the steam trains that it quickly replaced. Diesel trains were much faster and cheaper and caused less pollution that traditional steam trains.

Model Trains
Model trains are trains that are models of real trains. Models are often made to scale. There are many people who collect model trains as a hobby or even passion. These trains are not just models like other trains that remain stationary but they are run on electricity and they work almost like a real train.
